The Health Care curriculum at Chessbrook provides students with opportunities to develop and empower their knowledge of topics relating to Caring for Children and Health & Social Care.

We pride ourselves on a positive and nurturing learning environment which demonstrates how children should be valued and considered in their home and various educational and care settings.

The programme of study offers students the opportunity to practise and learn skills around caring for children and reinforces the importance of good role models and high quality caregiving. It develops students' awareness around Health & Social Care and looks at services within the Health Care professions as well as laws and legislations centred around children and families.

We discuss the importance of impact upon a child using a variety of life experience situations which encourages the students to feel empowered in dealing with negative experiences and life’s challenges therefore, embedding lifelong coping strategies.
