Brief Qualification Headlines: (2018-19)

• CESC students have performed overall better at the end of Key Stage 4 than students nationally in alternative provision (including pupil referral units)
• The performance of the different student groups within all subjects taken shows that there is no significant disadvantage between them
• Students have performed exceptionally well across the other GCSE and vocational subjects offered at CESC
100% of students gained at least 8 qualifications
92% of students gained a GCSE qualification in both English and maths
92% of students gained at least 3 GCSEs with 75% gaining at least 4 GCSEs
100% of students passed all GCSE exams they were entered for
• CESC’s ‘Prugress’ 8 score was significantly higher than last year, up 1.387 to +2.514. This highlights the continued improvement in student attainment and the increased offer of Level 2 courses within the CESC curriculum
• Curriculum changes have seen the introduction of more Level 2 courses, the impact being a very significant increase in the number of students achieving at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
