Alternative Provision Officer

Salary: £20,344 - £22,462 (H5)

About the role

Chessbrook ESC is dynamic and ‘outstanding’ (Ofsted 2010, 2014, 2018). We are a small school working with students who are experiencing difficulties accessing their education through their mainstream school. We have successfully developed a programme over recent years to support mainstream schools and academies, both primary and secondary.

We are looking for an Alternative Provision Officer to work 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year to support the growing demands of the alternative provision offer within South West Herts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, multi-skilled and enthusiastic person who is able to work with a flexible approach to join our dedicated and successful team at Chessbrook and develop your skills further.

We are looking for somebody who:

  • Is motivated by supporting the wellbeing of every child
  • Is able to build strong positive relationships with both students and outside agencies
  • Is highly organised and has experience of effective planning and delivery of learning sessions
  • Enjoys partnering with colleagues across the school community and externally

We are looking for a Primary Extended Roll Officer to work 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year, to coordinate and deliver positive behaviour intervention strategies to primary aged students and their schools, to enable their re-engagement and love of learning within mainstream education.  This role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, multi-skilled and enthusiastic person who is able to work with a flexible approach to join our dedicated and successful team at Chessbrook and develop your skills further.

We are looking for somebody who:

  • You will need a high level of resilience and a commitment to working as part of a therapeutic thinking team
