Extended Roll Support Assistant (Outreach Worker)

Chessbrook ESC is a small school working, in a range of capacities, with students who are experiencing difficulties, or who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school. We offer Outreach support and a range of other successful Extended Roll services to a large number of secondary schools and primary schools in the South West Herts area. To support these services we require an additional Extended Roll Support Assistant to join our team offered Outreach service. It is essential that candidates have experience of working with young people and applications address the knowledge and experience and personal qualities outlined in the Person Specification.
We require a highly skilled person for up to four half or two full school days per week in the Autumn term. The salary range is H3 pro-rata. Due to fluctuating needs of secondary schools this role is being offered on a casual hours contract basis in the first instance; hourly rate is £9.74.
The successful candidate will work in secondary schools in Watford, Three Rivers or Bushey to engage with targeted students, in order to:
- re-engage disaffected students in their mainstream school.
- provide support to students predominantly in the secondary phase.
- support students on reintegration or managed moves.
- provide support in the management of students learning and behaviour through Extended Roll provision.
