KS 3 have one lesson a week of RE. They are encouraged to listen to each other, and contribute their own thoughts and beliefs knowing that these are valued and respected. In RE lessons we think about the big questions of life:

  • Who am I?
  •  Is there a God?
  •  What is right and wrong?
  •  Is there life after death?
  •  Is it ever right to fight?
  •  Is it ever right to take a life?

Through studying RE, the pupils develop an understanding of the beliefs and values of the major faith communities. They learn to identify their own values and beliefs and to take responsibility for their actions.

KS4 complete the following units of an AQA Religious Studies award:

  •     Principles of a Religious tradition
  •     Practices of a Religious tradition
  •     Abortion
  •     Capital Punishment
  •     Sexual Morality
  •     Drugs
